China Communications Construction: New Contracts Reach RMB902.95 B in H1 2026, Overseas Orders Up 20.61%

China Communications Construction Company Limited reported that new contract value for the first half of 2026 totalled RMB 902.95 billion, a year-on-year decline of 8.89%. The figure represents 47% of the Board-approved full-year target of RMB 1,883.67 billion, indicating progress broadly in line with the Group’s phased schedule.

Overseas markets continued to gain weight in the business mix. Contract value from international projects rose 20.61% year on year to RMB 241.68 billion (USD 33.86 billion), lifting the overseas share of total new orders to 27%, compared with 20% a year earlier. Domestic orders fell 16.37% to RMB 661.27 billion.

Business-type breakdown • New-quality infrastructure: RMB 877.42 billion, down 8.68% year on year. • Design & consulting: RMB 20.37 billion, down 16.41%. • Other businesses: RMB 5.16 billion, down 12.76%.

“Five Wholes” portfolio highlights • Whole Transportation grew 18.39% to RMB 428.62 billion, buoyed by a doubling of railway contracts (RMB 70.78 billion, +100.07%) and a 251.52% surge in urban rail transit (RMB 24.67 billion). Road & bridge contracts fell 17.53% to RMB 185.71 billion. • Whole Cities contracted 24.60% to RMB 326.61 billion amid weaker housing construction (-19.29%) and municipal works (-27.09%). • Whole Water slid 35.24% to RMB 46.83 billion, reflecting lower water-conservancy and water-environment orders. • Whole Digital and Whole Green recorded RMB 9.62 billion (-48.04%) and RMB 81.02 billion (-8.72%) respectively; within Whole Green, agriculture-related contracts grew 24.50% to RMB 10.90 billion. • Other sectors contributed RMB 10.26 billion, down 36.92%.

Major contracts signed in the April–June quarter include: 1. Suburban Rail Loop East (Package G), Melbourne, Australia – RMB 18.72 billion. 2. Guangzhou section of Luzhou–Xintang segment, Foshan–Guangzhou–Dongguan intercity railway – RMB 3.08 billion. 3. East Kalimantan Wharf and Waterway, Indonesia – RMB 2.60 billion. 4. Fengcheng & Shengquan land consolidation, Anhui – RMB 1.08 billion. 5. Hebei Huadian Changli offshore photovoltaic pilot project (Package A) – RMB 0.38 billion. 6. Digital transformation of high-grade waterway infrastructure, GBA – RMB 0.13 billion.

Infrastructure and other investment projects confirmed on an equity basis amounted to RMB 39.09 billion, a 13.92% year-on-year decline. Construction and installation work stemming from these investments is expected to total RMB 43.90 billion.

The company reported no major projects that have been signed but are yet to commence construction.
