According to the Pinglu Canal Group, the inaugural command and management vessel, "Pinglu 001," was officially commissioned on August 31. This vessel integrates functions such as waterway inspection, navigation scheduling, and maritime emergency command, marking it as the first command vessel of its kind to be formally inducted into the canal's fleet.
The "Pinglu 001" is a smart command ship measuring 39.20 meters in total length, with a cruising range of no less than 600 kilometers. It has been classified by the China Classification Society (CCS) and is certified to safely navigate coastal zones as well as Class A and Class B waters of the Pinglu Canal inland waterway system.
The vessel is crewed by a certified team of seven, with capacity to carry up to 50 operational personnel and life-saving equipment sufficient for 57 individuals. This configuration enables it to not only fulfill command functions but also provide rapid personnel transport and comprehensive on-site emergency support capabilities.
Equipped with advanced systems including BeiDou navigation, electronic chart display, radar, and echo sounders, along with shore power connectivity, the "Pinglu 001" has successfully arrived at the Qinzhou Waterborne Comprehensive Service Area. Its intelligent navigation system is currently undergoing comprehensive integrated testing with the canal's shore-based infrastructure, aiming to achieve data fusion, remote sensing capabilities, and intelligent functions such as assisted decision-making.
