Shuoao International (02336) has released its interim results for the six months ended June 30, 2026, reporting a turnaround in profitability as the company swung from a loss in the prior year to a net profit attributable to shareholders of HK$1.909 million.
Revenue for the period came in at HK$39.627 million, a decrease of 48.68% compared to the same period last year. This contrasts sharply with the loss of HK$0.202 million recorded in the corresponding period of the previous year, resulting in earnings per share of 0.11 HK cents.
The significant drop in overall revenue was attributed to persistently weak market demand and intensifying industry competition during the reporting period. However, the company's gross profit decline was limited to approximately 7%, substantially narrower than the revenue contraction. This resilience was achieved through the continuous optimization of its product portfolio and the deepening of supply chain cost management initiatives.
Furthermore, by actively implementing cost-reduction and efficiency-enhancement measures, along with streamlining its expenditure structure, the group successfully reversed the previous year's loss position and achieved a profitable bottom line, marking a notable financial recovery.
