Shares of Tuya Inc. (TUYA) soared 5.04% on Monday morning after the company announced a partnership with Cerence Inc. (CRNC) to integrate the latter's industry-leading text-to-speech (TTS) technology into Tuya's cloud developer platform for two-wheeled vehicles.

Tuya, a global cloud platform service provider, will leverage Cerence's multi-lingual TTS capabilities to enable voice-powered interaction for its "Works with Smart Life" app used by over 100 two-wheeler manufacturers. This integration will allow riders to request and hear real-time riding information, battery status, phone and text notifications, and more via voice commands, enhancing safety and convenience.

According to Tony Kong, General Manager of Tuya Smart's Outdoor Business Department, the partnership with Cerence is a strategic move to bring best-in-class voice technology to their customers as voice-powered interaction continues to gain traction among consumers. The companies plan to further expand their collaboration to bring additional Cerence solutions to Tuya's cloud developer platform in the future.
