Critical Resources (CRR) has reported “thick, high-grade” lithium intercepts from diamond drilling at its Mavis Lake project in Canada.

The latest results come from the company’s ongoing drilling program within the Main Zone, under which it has completed about 11,676 metres of the planned 15,000 metres.

The company intercepted 14.7 metres at 1.09 per cent lithium oxide from 146 metres, including higher grade hits of eight metres at 1.61 per cent lithium oxide and 1.5 metres at 3.36 per cent lithium oxide.

Critical Resources said the results confirmed continued lithium mineralisation and extended the confirmed strike of the main zone.

Non-Executive Director Alex Cheeseman said the latest assays build the company’s confidence in delineating a resource in the near term.

“We believe the last few rounds of assay results have been some of the highest grades released by an ASX-listed lithium company so far in 2022. This sets us up well to continue advancing the project and transition Critical Resources into a potential lithium project developer,” Mr Cheeseman said.

Further assays from the current drill program will be reported once received.

Additionally, the company is undergoing discussions with consultants for metallurgical test work and resource modelling.

Shares in Critical Resources last traded at 6.9 cents on September 27.
