Shares of Talaris Therapeutics Climb 5.2% on Special Dividend Tied to Merger

Shares of Talaris Therapeutics on Friday climbed 5.2% to $2.70 in after-hours trading after it declared a special dividend.

The biotechnology company said the special payout to shareholders, to be paid in cash, is expected to be $1.51 per share. It is conditional upon closing its merger deal with Tourmaline Bio.

Talaris Therapeutics signed a deal with the healthcare services company on June 22.

The board will vote in favor or against the merger on Oct. 17.
