Pacific Nickel Mines Achieves Nickel Ore Shipments Milestone at Solomon Islands Project; Shares Up 4%

Pacific Nickel Mines (ASX:PNM) achieved a throughput of two nickel ore shipments per month at the Kolosori nickel project in the Solomon Islands, the miner said in a Thursday filing with the Australian bourse.

To prepare for ramping up to three ships per month, the miner is expanding the stockpile area to hold about 180,000 tons of nickel ore, enough for three ships. This expansion should be finished by end-July, allowing full production to start in August, the filing said.

The company's shares were up almost 4% in recent Thursday trade.
