Kingsland Minerals (ASX:KNG) filed a mining lease application over the Leliyn graphite project in Australia's Northern Territory.
The miner submitted for processing a sample of the material for bulk concentrate to further assess the suitability of Leliyn graphite for end-use products, including lithium batteries, according to a Tuesday filing with the Australian bourse.
Kingsland Minerals is planning to conduct additional drilling to upgrade the mineral resources' classification to indicated from inferred.
Shares of Kingsland Minerals were down 5% Tuesday.
