Elbe Flugzeugwerke GmbH, a joint venture between ST Engineering (SGX:S63) and Airbus, is re-entering the maintenance, repair, and overhaul market for the Airbus A380, ST Engineering said in a Monday filing.

Elbe Flugzeugwerke will perform airframe maintenance for Global Airlines at its Dresden, Germany, facility in the fourth quarter.

Under the contract, Elbe Flugzeugwerke will handle heavy maintenance required for Global Airlines' first A380, including mandatory inspections and component replacements.

The company plans to expand its A380 MRO services from 2025, having received additional orders from other clients.
