Gritstone bio (GRTS) is in talks for funding and has held "some conversations" with potential bankruptcy plan sponsors, Bloomberg News reported Wednesday, citing Debra Grassgreen, a legal representative for the firm.

The company filed for bankruptcy last week and Bloomberg said the remarks were made during a Wednesday court hearing, where a US bankruptcy judge approved Gritstone bio's request to use cash collateral to pay salaries and its vendors.

According to the report, court records showed that Gritstone bio has not yet secured post-petition financing.

Gritstone bio did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
