Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected $0.20.
Revenue for the quarter ended Sept. 30 was $716.1 million, up from $616.3 million a year earlier.
Three analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected $710.3 million.
The company also maintained a quarterly dividend of $0.10 per share, payable around Nov. 29, to shareholders as of Nov. 18.
Shares of the precious metals mining company were up 3.8% in Tuesday's after-hours activity.
