Cavco Industries, Inc. (NASDAQ:CVCO) investors will be delighted, with the company turning in some strong numbers with its latest results. Cavco Industries beat earnings, with revenues hitting US$507m, ahead of expectations, and statutory earnings per share outperforming analyst reckonings by a solid 11%. Following the result, the analysts have updated their earnings model, and it would be good to know whether they think there's been a strong change in the company's prospects, or if it's business as usual. We thought readers would find it interesting to see the analysts latest (statutory) post-earnings forecasts for next year.

Following the latest results, Cavco Industries' three analysts are now forecasting revenues of US$1.95b in 2025. This would be a modest 5.4% improvement in revenue compared to the last 12 months. Per-share earnings are expected to accumulate 5.7% to US$19.32. Yet prior to the latest earnings, the analysts had been anticipated revenues of US$1.90b and earnings per share (EPS) of US$18.56 in 2025. It looks like there's been a modest increase in sentiment following the latest results, withthe analysts becoming a bit more optimistic in their predictions for both revenues and earnings.
With these upgrades, we're not surprised to see that the analysts have lifted their price target 11% to US$492per share. That's not the only conclusion we can draw from this data however, as some investors also like to consider the spread in estimates when evaluating analyst price targets. Currently, the most bullish analyst values Cavco Industries at US$500 per share, while the most bearish prices it at US$480. Even so, with a relatively close grouping of estimates, it looks like the analysts are quite confident in their valuations, suggesting Cavco Industries is an easy business to forecast or the the analysts are all using similar assumptions.
Taking a look at the bigger picture now, one of the ways we can understand these forecasts is to see how they compare to both past performance and industry growth estimates. We would highlight that Cavco Industries' revenue growth is expected to slow, with the forecast 11% annualised growth rate until the end of 2025 being well below the historical 15% p.a. growth over the last five years. By way of comparison, the other companies in this industry with analyst coverage are forecast to grow their revenue at 5.8% annually. So it's pretty clear that, while Cavco Industries' revenue growth is expected to slow, it's still expected to grow faster than the industry itself.
The biggest takeaway for us is the consensus earnings per share upgrade, which suggests a clear improvement in sentiment around Cavco Industries' earnings potential next year. Happily, they also upgraded their revenue estimates, and are forecasting them to grow faster than the wider industry. We note an upgrade to the price target, suggesting that the analysts believes the intrinsic value of the business is likely to improve over time.
Keeping that in mind, we still think that the longer term trajectory of the business is much more important for investors to consider. At Simply Wall St, we have a full range of analyst estimates for Cavco Industries going out to 2026, and you can see them free on our platform here..
