Singapore Shares Add Gains Amid Trump Victory; Nio Falls 4.4%

Singapore's Strait Times Index added gains on Wednesday, as Donald Trump gets a historic win.

During the day, the benchmark index ranged between 3,578.52 and 3,606.92, ending 0.6% or 21.38 points higher at 3,602.99.

In local corporate news, ManulifeReit USD closed flat on Wednesday, even as its portfolio occupancy for the third quarter of the year dropped to 77.0% from 78.4% in the second quarter.

Frasers L&C Tr shares slipped nearly 1% on Wednesday's close, as its distribution per unit or DPU came in at SG$0.0332 in the second half of its fiscal year, slightly lower than the DPU of SG$0.0352 in the year-ago period.

ST Engineering rose 2.4%, UOB rose 1.7%, OCBC rose 1.3%, SingPost fell 6.3%, Nio fell 4.4%, Mapletree Industrial Trust fell 3.3%.
