Prudential (SGX:K6S, HKG:2378) repurchased 1,593,512 shares in London on Friday at an average price of about 6.41 pounds sterling per share, according to a Monday filing with the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
Upon cancellation of the purchased shares, the company will have 2,671,079,755 shares in issue.
The company completed its share repurchase program, buying back 81,403,648 ordinary shares in aggregate at a volume-weighted average price of 6.57 pounds sterling per ordinary share for a total consideration of approximately 535 million pounds sterling, according to another filing on Monday.
