John Bean Technologies' (JBT) acquisition of Marel had been approved under the EU Merger Regulation, the European Commission said Wednesday.
The Commission said it determined that the deal, which relates to the manufacturing and supply of food processing equipment, would not raise competition concerns due to its limited impact on market competition.
