Aspire Mining (ASX:AKM) named Tristan Garthe chief financial officer, effective Monday, according to a same-day filing with the Australian bourse.

Garthe has more than 20 years of mining sector experience and held key roles with ASX-listed companies, the filing said.

Shares rose nearly 2% in afternoon trade Monday.
