Voltaic Strategic Resources zooms in on polymetallic finds at Kooline

Voltaic Strategic Resources Ltd (ASX:VSR) has identified high-grade gold – including up to 12.4 grams per tonne (g/t) and 130g/t silver – in addition to lead and antimony mineralisation at two prospects of its Kooline Gold Project in Western Australia.

Rock chip assays taken from reconnaissance work at the Spilsbury and Treadle prospects has shown mineralisation of both gold and antimony across a strike length of more than 500 metres, with rock chips yielding grades such as 12.4 g/t gold, 7.2 g/t gold, and 130 g/t silver.

Meanwhile, antimony has been confirmed at 0.32% and lead up to 26%, suggesting polymetallic mineralisation is a feature of these prospects – and hopes are bolstered by their location within a prospective corridor analogous to major gold deposits in the region including the 1.45 million-ounce Paulsens Gold and 1.6 million-ounce Mt Olympus.

VSR aims to follow up what’s found at Spilsbury and Treadle with mapping and drilling campaigns to assess the continuity of the high-grade mineralisation in particular.

Non-executive director Michael Walshe said these results indicated that Kooline was a highly promising project.

“These results highlight the significant discovery potential at Kooline, situated within a prolific gold belt surrounded by past producing mines and underexplored opportunities,” he said.

“The high-grade rock chip results, including 12.4 g/t gold and strong multi-metal assays, confirm the presence of a robust gold-poly-metallic system.”

VSR has been trading flat at 1.5 cents.
