RTX (RTX) plans to add 1,000 employees to its 7,000 workforce in India by 2027, focusing on engineers and data scientists to support global operations, Reuters reported Thursday, citing Collins Aerospace Vice President of Engineering Savyasachi Srinivas.
The new hires include 300 engineers for Pratt & Whitney within 18 months and 700 roles at Collins Aerospace over the next 12 to 18 months, the report said.
Srinivas said Collins Aerospace plans to open a larger factory in Bengaluru by 2026, consolidating three manufacturing sites, according to Reuters.
Meanwhile, Jayant Mukherjee, the head of Asia-Pacific and India Digital Capability Center at Pratt & Whitney told Reuters that the center center aims to increase in-house technology work to 55% over the next three years, reducing reliance on outsourcing partners.
