The Canadian dollar weakened against the greenback on Monday, and the yield on benchmark government debt climbed. The loonie was trading 0.4% lower at C$1.443 to the greenback, or 69.3 U.S. cents, after trading in a range of 1.435 to 1.4432. Canadian government 10-year bond yields rose 0.8 basis points to 3.285%. The yield on similar U.S. government benchmark debt rose to 4.5564%. U.S. February crude futures fell 36 cents to $69.1 a barrel on Monday.
