Meeka Metals (ASX:MEK) said expansion work on the Murchison project's carbon-in-leach gold processing plant in Western Australia is progressing, with process tanks being erected and camp commissioning taking place, according to a Tuesday filing with the Australian bourse.

The new cyanide storage tank is ready for 2025 installation, the filing said.

Iron Mine Contracting was awarded the open pit mining contract in December, with equipment mobilization set for February 2025 and mining starting in March 2025.

The first ore is expected in April 2025, according to the filing.
