Ensign Group (ENSG) said Thursday it acquired nine skilled nursing facilities in Tennessee and Alabama.
The company said the newly acquired facilities include Meadowbrook Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center with 83 beds; Wellpark Health and Rehabilitation with 30 beds; Legacy Park Health and Rehabilitation with 176 beds; VanAyer Senior Living and Rehabilitation with 91 beds; Union City Health and Rehabilitation with 115 beds; Decatur County Healthcare with 125 beds, Savannah Nursing and Rehabilitation with 120 beds and Westwood Nursing and Rehabilitation with 90 beds located in Tennessee.
Additionally, the company said it acquired The Health Center at Research Park with 91 beds in Huntsville, Alabama.
The company said CareTrust REIT (CTRE) and a joint venture investor jointly owned six of the facilities, adding they will be subject to a new long-term, triple-net master lease with Ensign-affiliated operating companies, effective Jan. 1, 2025.
Ensign Group said its real estate subsidiary, Standard Bearer Healthcare REIT, acquired the remaining three facilities, with the transaction effective Dec. 31, 2024.
