Warriedar Resources (ASX:WA8) said initial metallurgical test work on a primary antimony composite core sample from the Golden Range project in Western Australia showed the potential to produce a higher antimony concentrate grade, according to a Thursday Australian bourse filing.
Initial flotation testing of the core sample from the Ricciardo deposit delivered a saleable concentrate grade of 38.5% antimony at a recovery rate of 83%. Detailed bench flotation test work on the sample returned a higher concentrate grade of 49% antimony, maintaining a recovery level of 81%.
Diamond drilling was conducted at the deposit in 2024, which revealed high-grade antimony intervals.
The estimation of an antimony mineral resource estimate for the Ricciardo deposit is expected in the first quarter. Further antimony-focused metallurgical test work is planned for the deposit.
The firm's shares rose 2% in early trading on Thursday.
