Asian equities traded in the US as American depositary receipts were higher Thursday morning, up 0.3% to 2,083.58 on the S&P Asia 50 ADR Index.
From North Asia, the gainers were led by live streaming platform Douyu (DOYU) and software company Agora (API), which jumped 29% and 18% respectively. They were followed by live streaming platform Huya (HUYA) and chipmaker Taiwan Semiconductor (TSM), which climbed 11% and 5.4% respectively.
The decliners from North Asia were led by education companies TCTM Kids IT Education (TCTM) and Ambow Education (AMBO), which dropped 20% and 16% respectively.
From South Asia, the gainers were led by tech conglomerate Sea (SE), which rose 1%.
The decliners from South Asia were led by pharmaceutical company Dr Reddy's Laboratories (RDY), which fell 3.7%, followed by tech companies Wipro (WIT), which was down 3.4%, and Infosys (INFY), which was shedding 1.5%.
