Altus Power (AMPS) said Wednesday it has completed a 1.7-megawatt rooftop solar project at a distribution center in Vacaville, California, under the state's Net Energy Metering 2.0 program.
The solar installation is expected to cover nearly 80% of the facility's annual energy use, offering power at a discounted rate, the company said.
The project is also anticipated to lower carbon emissions by 1,000 metric tons annually and 35,000 metric tons over its 35-year operational lifespan, Altus Power added.
Shares of the company were down 5.3% in recent early Wednesday trading.
