1048 ET - Pearson CEO Omar Abbosh says he's "very happy" about some expected Trump administration policies, especially around universal school choice. Abbosh, who leads the education and business information company, says that would allow parents to decide what's best for their kids. More broadly, he says "lighter touch regulation," is welcome. "Sometimes you need clarity of rules but it depends on them, you can have overkill," Abbosh says. He hopes for common sense, logical market regulation would be helpful. Still, Abbosh says he's waiting to see exactly what the Trump administration's policies will be. Abbosh was speaking at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. (emily.glazer@wsj.com)
