NV5 Global (NVEE) said Friday it was awarded a $4 million contract from a New Zealand public service department to create 3D geospatial maps of roughly 20% of New Zealand's coastline.
The company said the contract involves mapping 4,780 square kilometers of coastline and adjacent sea floor using topobathymetric lidar and four-band imagery. The data is expected to support studies on coastal impacts related to sea-level changes, tsunamis, and earthquakes, NV5 said.
Shares were edging 0.3% higher in recent premarket activity.
