TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesia's Ministry of Health will start a series of free health checks (PKG) for the public in the second week of February 2025. The Head of the Ministry of Health's Communication and Public Service Bureau, Aji Muhawarman, ensured that President Prabowo Subianto's flagship program is ready to be implemented.

"It's ready. The plan is (to be implemented) in the second week of February," Aji told Tempo, Sunday, January 26, 2025.

For the location of the examination, said Aji, it will be carried out at a first-level health facility, namely at a community health center. The public will later be able to choose which community health center they will be examined at. However, if there is a backlog and the examination quota runs out, the public will automatically be given a replacement location.

"For example, the quota that day is full. It will be automatically moved to another place," said Aji again.

In the future, Aji said the Ministry of Health is reviewing the possibility of implementing free health checks at several private clinics, especially clinics that have collaborated with BPJS Kesehatan. However, he could not yet confirm when this could be implemented.

"Later, it will be gradual with private clinics that collaborate with BPJS Kesehatan," he explained.

Before taking the examination, Aji asked the public to download the SatuSehat app on their respective gadgets and register and verify their accounts. Aji explained that the public will be asked to fill in their personal data to create an account, such as entering their Population Identification Number (NIK) and cellphone number.

After the account is created, the public can choose the date and location of the desired health facility. Only then will the public be given an examination ticket and can go directly to the examination location according to the schedule listed.

"You can register there (at the app). And then they can choose the date, choose the place. If (the date) matches their birthday, please do, but if it's not possible, there will be (other) time up to 30 days after (their birthday) date," explained Aji again.

Head of the Ministry of Health's Primary Health Service Integration Working Team, Rima Damayanti, previously said that the public is expected to bring several documents to the health examination location. These documents include personal identification such as KTP or family card (KK), child identity card book (KIA) for toddlers and preschoolers, examination tickets from the application or WhatsApp, and pre-filled self-screening questionnaire forms.
