Teledyne Technologies (TDY) said Monday it has closed the roughly $710 million acquisition of certain aerospace and defense electronics businesses of Excelitas Technologies.

The acquisition includes Excelitas' Qioptiq brand optical systems business and its US-based advanced electronic systems business, Teledyne Technologies said.

The company also said the acquired businesses will operate under the name Teledyne Qioptiq and will be folded into its aerospace and defense electronics division.
