Construction employers will make a push for stricter “fit and proper” tests for union officials, restrict the CFMEU from negotiating pay deals for civil projects and remove limits on the use of independent contractors in the fallout of the CFMEU administration.
The Civil Contractors Federation (CCF), representing 1800 contractors on infrastructure projects, will start lobbying Labor and the Coalition, crossbench senators and teal MPs from this week as it calls for industrial relations reform to be a key part of the next federal election.
