A Learjet crashed Friday in northeast Philadelphia, with at least two people on board, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.

The plane was en route to Springfield-Branson National Airport in Missouri, the FAA said.

Video of the crash captured a large fireball as the plane made impact. Fire and police departments rushed to clear people from the area.

The National Transportation Safety Board and FAA will both handle the investigation into the cause of the crash, the FAA said.

Philadelphia Gov. Josh Shapiro said his office spoke with emergency responders and confirmed a small private plane had crashed.

The incident came just two days after an Army helicopter and an American Airlines regional jet collided in midair over the Potomac River, killing 67 people.
