Top Cryptocurrencies Weaker; Bitcoin Trades Near $97,000 Level

Major digital assets were mostly weaker late Wednesday, with Bitcoin (BTC-USD) trading near the $97,000 level.

The CoinDesk Market Index, which tracks 124 digital assets, dipped 1% in the past 24 hours. The Nasdaq 100 and the S&P 500 were each up about 0.3% in late trading, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average advanced 0.7%.

Bitcoin fell 1.7% to $97,102, according to CoinMarketCap data. The most popular cryptocurrency's 24-hour trading volume dropped 23% to $52.55 billion.

Ethereum (ETH-USD), the second-largest digital asset by market value, edged up 0.5% to $2,756.

XRP (XRP-USD) slumped 6.7%, Solana (SOL-USD) shed 4.9%, and BNB (BNB-USD) was 1.1% lower.

Dogecoin (DOGE-USD) lost 3.1%, while Cardano (ADA-USD) fell 1.6%.

The US 10-year Treasury yield stood at 4.422% at 3 p.m. ET Wednesday, down from 4.509% Tuesday, while the five-year yield eased to 4.245% from 4.315%.

The total market value of the cryptocurrency industry decreased 0.9% in the past 24 hours to $3.2 trillion, while the 24-hour trading volume shrank 28% to $139.27 billion.
