Patronus Resources (ASX:PTN) said exploration at its Cardinia project in Western Australia identified multiple anomalies indicative of volcanogenic massive Sulfide mineralization, according to a Thursday Australian bourse filing.
It intersected zones of zinc and copper anomalism intersected, including intercepts of 8 meters at 2,013 parts-per-million grade of zinc and 366.15 ppm grade of copper from a depth of 79 meters as well as 4 meters at 2,643 ppm grade of zinc and 92.13 ppm grade of copper from 86 meters.
The exploration included induced polarization geophysical surveys, mapping and geochemical sampling, reverse circulation drilling and down-hole electromagnetic surveys.
It is planning to conduct follow-up drilling in the June quarter.
The firm's shares rose 6% in recent trading on Thursday.
