Gildan Activewear (GIL) said Wednesday that it has appointed Chuck Ward as chief operating officer, effective March 1.

Ward currently serves as president of sales, marketing, and distribution, the company said.

Gildan said Rhodri Harries, chief financial and administrative officer, plans to retire on Jan. 1, and that Luca Barile, chief financial officer for sales, marketing, and distribution, will take over as CFO on March 1, Gildan added.
