These two new appointments follows the first two made last week which saw Derrick Goh as Group Chief Operating Officer and Koh Kar Siong as Group Head of Audit.
DBS Group Holdings has announced two more new leadership appointments, following a first round of appointments last week.
Chen Ze Ling will succeed Koh Kar Siong as Group Head of Corporate and SME Banking with effect on April 1. He is presently the Singapore Head of Corporate Banking. Koh was named as the new Head of Group Audit last week.
Chen has over 20 years of experience, and has been with the bank since 2008 where he held several senior positions within the Institutional Banking (IBG) division.
He was most recently Country Head of DBS Australia, a role he assumed in 2019. He was a key founding member which established DBS’ Australia branch in 2015, according to the bank.
Welson Jamin, will be appointed as the Group Head of Operations, also effective April 1. Jamin is currently the Head of IBG Operations and International Centres Technology & Operations.
Jamin has 25 years of technology and operations within DBS, and has driven organisational transformation in 14 locations covering more than 2,000 workers.
The appointment of Chen and Jamin follows the appointment of Derrick Goh in the newly created role of Group Chief Operating Officer; and Koh Kar Siong as Group Head of Audit on Feb 12, amid the bank’s leadership succession announcements that were prompted to take place after results briefing.
Shares in DBS closed 8 cents higher or 1.778% up at $45.8 on Feb 18.
