0816 GMT - Tencent is likely to benefit from the integration of DeepSeek with its messaging app WeChat and its intelligent workstation product ima.copilot, Great Wall Securities analyst Hou Bin says in a research note. DeepSeek's open-source nature and cost efficiency have cut developing costs, and the collaboration between the two may become an example for the AI industry in the future, the analyst says. "As a domestic user ecosystem giant, [Tencent] has closely followed the AI trend, and its overall ecosystem has gained momentum," the analyst says. Meanwhile, Tencent's game business has resumed an upward trend with growth gradually accelerating, and profitability has continued to improve, the analyst adds. (tracy.qu@wsj.com)
