0836 GMT - Prices of NAND flash-memory chips are poised to rebound in 2H thanks to likely better supply-demand conditions, TrendForce writes in a research note. Production cuts by NAND manufacturers and inventory reductions in the smartphone sector are expected to alleviate the oversupply, the research company says. Demand for NAND products such as solid-state drives is growing, it notes, because broader artificial-intelligence integrations are facilitated by U.S. AI chip giant Nvidia's shipment increase, Chinese company DeepSeek's new AI models built at a cheaper cost and the recent emergence of AI-enabled personal computers. TrendForce expects NAND prices to rise 10%-15% in 3Q and 8%-13% in 4Q. (kwanwoo.jun@wsj.com)
