Great Western Exploration (ASX:GTE) said it received results from a down-hole electromagnetic survey and assays from the first phase of diamond drilling at the Oval target at its Yerrida North copper-gold project in Western Australia, according to a Monday Australian bourse filing.
The results allowed the firm to define a large and prospective interpreted copper-gold mineralization system at the prospect, with geophysical modeling of the survey data identifying two large, strong conductors.
Assay results did not return significant copper-gold results, the filing said.
The firm's shares rose 4% in recent trading on Monday.
