Emperor Culture Group (HKG:0491) reported a loss attributable to the owners of HK$56.8 million for the six months ended Dec. 31, 2024, compared with HK$143.2 million in the previous year, according to a Friday filing with the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
Loss per share was HK$0.018, compared with HK$0.045 in the prior-year period.
The company's revenue fell to HK$243.1 million from HK$267.2 million the previous year, which Emperor Culture attributed to weak consumption and the lack of blockbusters.
The company's shares were down over 13% in recent trading.
