Jack in the Box appointed Lance Tucker as its interim principal executive, succeeding Darin Harris, who is stepping down from the company's top role to assume a new position outside of the restaurant industry.
The San Diego-based restaurant chain said Monday that Tucker returned to the company as its chief financial officer last month. He previously held several roles of increasing responsibility at Papa John's International, culminating his 14-year tenure at the company as CFO and treasurer.
Dawn Hooper will assume the role of interim principal financial officer while Tucker serves as interim principal executive, Jack in the Box said. Hooper, who currently serves as senior vice president and controller, has held various positions of increasing responsibility over her 24-year tenure with the company.
Harris will remain with the company as a consultant through March 14, ensuring a smooth leadership transition, it said. Jack and the Box didn't say whether it is searching for a new permanent CEO.
