Sims (ASX:SGM) reported Tuesday that its earnings per diluted share from continuing and discontinued operations in the fiscal first half fell to AU$0.049 from AU$0.335 per diluted share a year earlier.
Analysts polled by Visible Alpha were expecting an EPS of AU$0.42.
Underlying EPS was AU$0.18, up from AU$0.036 a year earlier. Statutory EPS was AU$0.158, compared with AU$0.501 a year earlier.
Sales revenue for the six months ended Dec. 31, 2024, was AU$3.65 billion, up from AU$3.51 billion in the same period a year earlier. Analysts surveyed by Visible Alpha expected AU$3.78 billion.
The board declared an interim dividend of AU$0.10 per share, payable on March 19 to shareholders on record as of March 5. The company did not propose a dividend in the previous corresponding period.
