Element Solutions Closes Sale of Flexographic Printing Plate Business for $325 Million

Element Solutions (ESI) said Monday it has closed the sale of its flexographic printing plate business, MacDermid Graphics Solutions, to XSYS for an enterprise value of about $325 million.

The company said an existing capital loss is expected to offset almost all taxable gains from the deal.

Element Solutions said it intends to use the net proceeds to further lower leverage and for general corporate purposes.
