President Trump said the Supreme Court had made possible his campaign to end diversity, equity and inclusion programs, which he considers unfair to white people and members of other majority groups. The court hasn't had any cases involving DEI programs, whose content varies widely; he may have had in mind the justices' 2023 decision ending affirmative action in college admissions. In that 6-3 case, the court held that race can't be a factor schools consider when selecting applicants for enrollment, even to promote classroom diversity.
