Welspun Specialty Solutions (BOM:500365) has emerged as the lowest bidder for a contract worth 2.32 billion Indian rupees by Bharat Heavy Electricals (NSE:BHEL, BOM:500103), according to a Tuesday filing to the Indian stock exchanges.
The order is for the supply of 4,050 tons of stainless steel seamless boiler tubes for a series of supercritical thermal power projects.
A formal contract will be released after Bharat Heavy Electricals' internal approval process.
Shares of the company were up nearly 5% in recent trade.
