March 10 - (The Insurer) - QBE has expanded its warranty and indemnity offering into the Nordic region with the appointment of Samuel Phil as a transactional liability underwriter.

Stockholm-based Phil, who previously focused on corporate transactions for a Swedish law firm, took up his position on March 10.

QBE said the expansion of its W&I offering follows a recovery in the Nordic M&A market, along with increased demand for transactional risks solutions.

It cited EY data that said 387 deals completed in Sweden in the fourth quarter of 2024, a 9% increase on the prior-year period.
