March 13 - (The Insurer) - San Francisco-based cyber insurtech Coalition has appointed Maha Virudhagiri as its first chief technology officer.

Virudhagiri joins Coalition after nearly seven years at Tesla, where he served as an engineering, design, and product leader.

Prior to Tesla, he held leadership roles at Ancestry, Walmart Labs and Cognizant Technology Solutions.

In his new role, Virudhagiri will oversee engineering, IT, information security, data and artificial intelligence initiatives across both insurance and cybersecurity.

He will report directly to Joshua Motta, Coalition’s CEO and co-founder, as a member of the company’s executive team.

“As our new CTO, Maha will focus on advancing our technology strategy and making our security and insurance solutions more accessible and scalable as Coalition works to protect all types of businesses across the globe,” said Motta.
