NV5 Global (NVEE) said Monday it received $9 million in contracts from "major" utility clients in the US to support wildfire mitigation and resiliency efforts.
The company said it was chosen by a Texas utility for a geospatial vegetation management project while a Western utility awarded a contract to collect updated geospatial remote sensing data for enhanced asset and vegetation risk assessments.
NV5 also said an investor-owned utility in northern California expanded the company's annual transmission vegetation management contract to include an evaluation of tree health and mortality in high fire-risk areas.
The company's shares were up 3.9% in recent Monday trading.
