BYD (HKG:1211) reported a 34% increase in profit attributable to owners for 2024 to 40.25 billion yuan from 30.04 billion yuan a year earlier, according to a Monday filing with the Hong Kong bourse.
Earnings per share were 13.84 yuan from 10.32 yuan the previous year. Analysts polled by Visible Alpha estimated EPS at 14.04 yuan.
Revenue increased by 29% to 777.10 billion yuan from 602.31 billion yuan the previous year. Analysts polled by Visible Alpha estimated revenue at 600.14 billion yuan.
The board recommended a final dividend of 3.974 yuan per share.
The automaker's shares were down by almost 4% at closing.
