Dongyue's 2024 Profit Rises; Shares Slide 4%

Dongyue's (HKG:0189) attributable profit rose to 810.8 million yuan in 2024 from 707.8 million yuan in 2023, according to a Thursday filing with the Hong Kong bourse.

Earnings per share at the chemical manufacturer increased to 0.46 yuan from 0.32 yuan a year earlier. Analysts at Visible Alpha estimated EPS at 0.65 yuan.

Revenue, however, declined to 14.2 billion yuan from 14.5 billion yuan a year earlier. Visible Alpha analysts forecast revenue of 15.9 billion yuan.

The company declared a final dividend of HK$0.1 per share, payable July 10 to shareholders on record as of June 16.

Shares slipped 4% during Friday's afternoon trading.
