Australian Rare Earths (ASX:AR3) confirmed the presence of uranium based on results from a 2024 drilling campaign at the Overland project in South Australia, according to a Friday Australian bourse filing.

The x-ray fluorescence results confirm the extension of mineralization to the Western Margin target zone. Additional drilling to follow up the strike extension of this mineralization is planned for April.

Assays from the first round of the current drill program are expected in the coming weeks, which will guide future exploration targeting, per the filing.

Its shares fell 5% in recent trading on Friday.
