Boeing (BA) has lowered production of its 737 Max aircraft to 31 per month because of complications with installing wing components, the Air Current reported Monday, citing people familiar with the company's factory progress.
The factory had reached 38 planes per month in February before dialing back due to the wing system installation difficulties, which continued into March, the report said.
The company is reportedly aiming to raise output back to a minimum of 38 aircraft a month later this year.
Boeing did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
